Mission

Opus’ mission is to showcase the most outstanding creative pieces published in Accent during the current school year. Pieces submitted to Accent after the last issue of the year will be eligible for Opus.

Editorial Guidelines

Accent publishes only Upper School work. All work must be high quality, in the opinion of the writer as well as editors. Language use must be appropriate for a school publication.

Accent will not publish anything that insults, tells lies about, or is otherwise abusive towards real people, either directly or as part of a satire or parody.

Accent cannot accept anonymous submissions, though authors may request anonymous publication. Such requests must be presented in writing, and must state the reasons the author is requesting anonymity. All such requests will be considered by the editor and the faculty advisor, and granted or refused on a case-by-case basis.
