OWLnet Logon Instructions
If you are off campus and try to access secured areas of OWLnet you will be prompted to authenticate with the OWLnet server.
*OWLnet works best with Internet Explorer. Make sure your computer has all necessary patches and updates.

When prompted login to OWLnet with your own user name and password and domain accordingly. NOTE: There are two different entry screens depending on your Operating System and browser. |

a. If you have Windows XP or Mac OSX, you will see two entry fields on the login box:
User Name: OVERLAKE\yourusername
(BACKSLASH is above the enter key)
Password: your password. |

b. If you have Windows 2000, you will see three entry fields on the login box: User Name: yourusername Password: your password Domain: OVERLAKE

Most common access errors include:
- Using out of date software
- Using a forward slash instead of the required backslash
- Mistyping your user name and or password
- Forgetting to add OVERLAKE\ in front of your user name on Win XP machines
- Not following instructions carefully
